WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16 - At Sea

We sleep in this morning and barely get to the dining room before breakfast service is over. Then we go straight to Terry’s lecture on the history of "Tango". She gives a good overview of Buenos Aires during the lecture also.

The sea was bumpy during the night and this morning, but after lunch it gets calmer. Carolyn goes to the port talk on Buenos Aires and works on the pictures from yesterday and the blog. Dick plays on his computer and goes to Trivia...hoping for a good day since he skipped yesterday, no such luck! By late afternoon, we are feeling the sea again and the Captain announces that we will be several hours late getting to Montevideo, Uruguay, arriving around noon.
La Veranda has changed to a pasta menu that sounds good. It is also a formal optional night and the Captain’s Farewell party with the Krew Kapers at 6PM. We had skipped this evening on the first segment because Dick had such a bad cold, but we go tonight before going to dinner. It is cute and dinner is a welcome change from the more formal fare down stairs.

Today is hump day for us. It doesn’t seem possible we have been on the ship over 35 days! The first half was mostly good and we enjoyed it, even though we suffered through the ship’s community cold and weren’t real happy with many of the tours and the dining room at times. We are looking forward to this second half since all the ports will be new to us except Buenos Aires, which we love, and we are looking forward to the three day stay there as weel as St. Thomas, another long time favorite!
