SATURDAY, JANUARY 22 - At Sea

We wake late to a calm sea and bright sunshine. Dick thinks he is feeling a little better this morning. He is hungry as is Carolyn...a good sign we are on the mend. We get to the dinning room about 9:15AM. We finish just in time for Carolyn to go up and watch the King Neptune Ceremony on the pool deck. It is really much better and shorter than the one in September on the Rotterdam.
Dick hasn’t been able to get on line with his computer since we got back last night. So he goes down to let the staff in the computer area look at it. Turns out he has been cut off due to his computer trying to back up its hard drive thus using to much of the band width. Since it is now the weekend, he has to wait until the office in Miami opens on Monday to get reinstated.

Now it is 10AM, so we head to the showroom to hear another lecture by Terry. This one, "Peru, Land of the Inca," is very interesting and sets the stage for our tour tomorrow in Salaverry, Peru.

We plan on taking it easy today. Dick takes a morning...er...noon nap then plays on his computer. Carolyn spends the rest of the day working on the blog, sorting pictures and getting the posts done. About 2PM we order a sandwich and cookies from room service and at 4:30PM Dick goes to Trivia. They are off their mark..they lose again!

By dinner we are really hungry and they have angel hair pasta with several sauces tonight. Actually the menu is really nice, but we still aren’t up to a big meal so Dick has the caviar, seafood bisque, Caesar salad and the pasta. Carolyn has the crabmeat on avocado, a good salad of butter lettuce and avocado with a lemon vinegarette and pasta. We finish off our meal with a lemon tart and hot tea.

On the way out of the dinning room we stop and visit with some of our CC friends. Looks like several of us will be on the same tour tomorrow. Back in the room we fill out the room service card for breakfast and get things ready for a busy day tomorrow.
